1 killed in a crash in southeast Las Vegas

A pedestrian died Thursday after an accident in southeast Las Vegas.

Officers were called to the 4375 Boulder Highway near East Twain Avenue at 5:47 p.m. after a report of a motorcycle accident, Lt. Ken Nogle of the Metropolitan Police Department.

According to a preliminary police accident report, a 77-year-old unidentified woman in dark clothing was crossing the Boulder Highway outside a marked zebra crossing when the motorcycle struck the woman. The woman landed on the ground near the middle media while the man who rode the motorcycle was ejected. Both were taken to Sunrise Hospital and the Medical Center.

The woman was pronounced dead.

The motorcyclist suspected no impairment. He suffered minor injuries.

The woman’s identity is disclosed by the Clark County Coroner Office. The death marked the ninth traffic-related death in the Metro jurisdiction.
