A guide to outdoor decking in Las Vegas

Welcome to the Eater Vegas Outdoor Dining Guide, updated for 2021. The weather in Las Vegas makes it ideal for alfresco dining and drinking all year round, be it triple-digit temperatures in summer (thanks, misters) or in the middle of winter (thanks, heaters). Visit a romantic terrace on the Strip at Guy Savoy Restaurant, a terrace overlooking the city at Legacy Club, a garden hideaway in Park on Fremont, or a sand terrace overlooking the pool at Casa Calavera.

This guide contains news, maps, and guides on outdoor restaurants that will be updated as new decks appear.

Soulbelly BBQ by former top chef candidate Bruce Kalman has a sprawling 1,581 square foot deck with picnic tables and smokers for his salt and pepper breast pieces, Carolina pulled pork, drumsticks glazed with chipotle cider, pork ribs, burnt ends, and more in the Gateway District.

The Taverna Costera and the sibling company Dragon’s Alley Coffee Co. bring Greek dishes and coffee drinks to the roof terrace and the courtyard terrace in the Arts District.

Virgin Hotels’ Mexican restaurant, Casa Calavera, has a terrace overlooking the sand and pool. Grab a margarita or a shot of mezcal and spend the afternoon at brunch or when the sun goes down over dinner.

The Monterrey-inspired Tacos de Trompo and Frijoles Charros find a home on the terrace of the Tacos del Julio for late evening meals at the Hawaiian Marketplace.

Tacos El Cabron in San Diego has a small deck across from the UNLV campus that serves a Tijuana-inspired menu. Order tacos, quesatacos, and burritos that are filled with ingredients like squid, al pastor, adobada, shrimp, and carne asada.

Order Beyond Burgers, an all-day breakfast option with fried eggs, bacon, hash browns, and maple syrup, or the CEO of Double Patty, which is topped with candied bacon and tomato jam, truffle aioli, and Swiss cheese at BurgerFi, and then take it out on the deck at the front overlooking St. Rose Parkway in Henderson.
