Armed robbers carjack seniors in west Las Vegas

An elderly citizen was ambushed at gunpoint early Friday in the far west of the Las Vegas Valley.

Las Vegas police chief Jesse Roybal said at 4:22 am the victim was in a shop on the 9400 block of West Flamingo Road on Fort Apache Road “when he was approached with firearms by two men.”

“The suspects robbed the victim of his vehicle and fled the area,” said Roybal.

The man was not injured. A witness speaking to the Review Journal said the robbery took place in a parking lot in a Nevada State Bank branch. The victim then had to go across the street to call the authorities at a rebel supermarket. At 5:30 am, three police vehicles were seen in the supermarket

The victim was not injured. Roybal said police are looking for the suspects and the stolen vehicle, possibly a Honda Accord.
