Comfort dining takes a fun twist at the Searsucker in Las Vegas

Who doesn’t need some comfort food every now and then? Sometimes it’s a necessary break from all the craziness around you, especially now. Sure, we’re big advocates of healthy eating, but even we need a greasy cheeseburger every now and then. And for some of the best comfort dishes on the Strip, it’s hard to beat searsucker.

One look at the menu shows how serious this restaurant is about the inclusion of home-style cooking. There are twists and turns everywhere, from the mustard and mayo sauces used in the Las Vegas-style shrimp cocktail to the farmer’s market vegetables that accompany the hummus starter. The cocktail menu is just fun, including an old-fashioned menu where you can order the classic or the PB&J – Old Forester bourbon infused with peanuts, fasionola syrup, and strawberry bitters.

The main courses range from fish and chicken to steak and braised ribs. There’s even a Beyond Bolognese, which is so delicious with roasted mushrooms, tomato ragu, and campanelle pasta.
