Dark gray car wanted in fatal accident in East Las Vegas

A male pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run in east Las Vegas on Sunday night.

At around 8:40 p.m., a man was crossing the street near Lake Mead Boulevard and Lincoln Road when he was hit by “an unidentified vehicle driven by an unidentified driver,” said Lt. David Gordon of the Metropolitan Police Department.

Someone saw her on the street and called 911, said Gordon. The pedestrian was taken to a hospital where they died.

At 4:30 a.m. on Monday, police said in a press release that they were looking for a dark gray metallic car. Police said the car would have damage to the right front end.

The death marked the 21st traffic-related death in Metro jurisdiction that year. The Clark County Coroner’s Office will release the man’s name after the relatives are notified.

Another pedestrian was killed in an accident in downtown Las Vegas on Sunday evening. Drivers of both accidents were not caught.
