Democratic leaders in Nevada throw in the North Las Vegas Food Bank

NORDLAS VEGAS (KLAS) – Nevada’s politicians highlight families who were without food during the pandemic.

Several prominent Democrats gathered for a food bank at the Macedonia Baptist Church in north Las Vegas on Thursday.

Food insecurity has increased during the pandemic.

Senator Jacky Rosen says seeing neighbors help each other lifts the spirits.

“We are so fortunate that our denominations, our churches, our mosques, our small businesses are all helping to help their neighbors and friends and the people in this time of incredible need,” said Senator Rosen.

The Nevada Congress delegation held events around the valley throughout the week. They are trying to get support for the new coronavirus relief bill.
