A man who was fatally shot and killed early Saturday after an argument in a shisha lounge in the West Valley has been identified by the Clark County’s coroner office.
Las Vegas police said Dorian Bond, 25, was one of two men who were shot dead at 2:52 a.m. in the parking lot of a mall on 6020 W. Flamingo Road near Decatur Boulevard
A second person injured by a gunshot was identified by police as Jaylon McKenzie, 21. McKenzie has since been arrested for a single open murder with a lethal weapon in Bond’s death.
McKenzie’s brother, Jeramiah McKenzie, 18, was also arrested at the location of the shooting for attempted murder and assault with a lethal weapon.
Police said the shooting unfolded after “a group of people got into an argument in a hookah lounge”. The persons arguing were asked to leave the store, which they did. A short time later, gunfire broke out in the shopping center parking lot.
The coroner’s office did not identify a hometown for Bond, who died from multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body. His death was condemned as murder. The police did not provide any further details about the dispute.
The McKenzie brothers should appear in court in Las Vegas on Tuesday mornings.
