“Las Vegas is an international travel destination,” said Cynthia Bussey, co-owner of the website and cousin of Kris Jenner. “And so our customers and fans from all over the world can personally experience Kardashian Kloset firsthand.”

The location will sell clothing and accessories from the Kardashian-Jenner family closets already available on the e-commerce website. New articles are added weekly. The Kardashian-Jenner family also plan to expand their range beyond fashion once the store opens.

Kardashian Kloset was launched in October 2019 and has quickly gained a loyal customer base. The trend started on YouTube for influencers to post unboxing videos with their Kardashian toilet transports and side-by-side showing photos of themselves with the Kardashian-Jenner family member wearing the same look.

Since launch, Kardashian Kloset has had a repeat customer rate of 40.3 percent and has sold nearly 9,000 units. The website’s success is due to the Kardashian-Jenner family and their influence on social media. According to the company, an Instagram story post by Kylie Jenner of Kardashian Kloset brought over 250,000 people to the site last month, increasing sales by 400 percent this weekend.

“Everyone is obsessed with the Kardashians in some way,” Bussey said. “With what they do, with what they wear, where they go and follow them. I think that was the success of [Kardashian Kloset] because there’s an obsession out there. “

Kardashian Kloset is divided into “collections” by each Kardashian-Jenner family member. The website was first launched with three collections by Kris Jenner, Kim Kardashian and Kylie Jenner and now features collections from all sisters and children’s and men’s ranges from a number of designer labels.

The story goes on

The e-commerce website is curated by Bussey and the Kardashian-Jenner family, who have pieces they no longer want to keep and others that have been requested by customers.

“Kris always said she would wear something [“Keeping Up With the Kardashians”] and people see it and I get a lot of emails, “Can you let me know when Kris’s green Diane von Furstenberg dress with the pony she wore in St. Tropez with Dee Hilfiger is on?” said Bussey. “We get a lot of inquiries.”

Bussey also stated that the family are trying to make sure they don’t post anything given to them on Kardashian Kloset, but that sometimes parts “slipped through the cracks” as errors.

In June 2020, designer Christian Cowan called on the Kardashian-Jenner family to release one of his dresses on the e-commerce website – in the Khloé Kardashian collection – for $ 1,300 which he claimed was a runway pattern. The dress was later removed from the website.

Kardashian Kloset is priced as low as $ 25 for sports like New York Mets sweat shorts in Kim Kardashian’s collection, and up to $ 55,000 for a rare Hermès Birkin bag from Kylie Jenner’s collection. While each Kardashian-Jenner family member and Bussey alone donate to a number of charities, the Kardashian Kloset site has no charitable component.

This is the family’s first business for Kardashian Kloset. However, it isn’t the first company to get into brick and mortar business. The Kardashian sisters ran their fashion boutique Dash in the early aughts, which was featured regularly on their reality television show. The brand had locations in Los Angeles, Miami, New York City, and Southhampton, NY, but all have since closed.

Kylie Jenner has also hit retailers with her Kylie Cosmetics brand and has hosted pop-up stores in LA, New York, and San Francisco for the past several years.

Further details on the Kardashian Kloset Las Vegas store are expected to be announced on the e-commerce website closer to the opening date.
