LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – A brand new show is set to debut in a few weeks and hopes to ignite the desert skies. “Ignite” is the name of the show, which is made up of several Las Vegas cast members who have been in the dark for months because of the pandemic.
Because of the pandemic, it’s been in production via Zoom for some time.
8 News Now was invited to the first in-person rehearsal, during which about two dozen artists demonstrated their actions that they had practiced at home.
These are dancers from a variety of Las Vegas shows that were left in the dark when COVID-19 turned things off.
The makers of the production come from big shows of “O” and “Zumanity” from Cirque du Soleil, who want to share their inspiration after months of quarantine.
“The costumes are an example of what life was like and how it struggled,” said actress Allison Burke. “We’ll get dusty in boots in the desert. I love that we’re going to do this together. ”
Tickets sell out quickly as it’s a two day show. There are transportation and accommodation options.
Before and after production, people can enjoy the 40-acre property with a variety of food trucks, music, and the great Mojave Desert sunset.
The show will take place at Sandy Valley Ranch on May 7th and 8th, and social distancing will be stepped up.
