The Southern Nevada Health District will begin this week to offer a second dose of the Pfizer vaccine at the Las Vegas Convention Center vaccination site.
The site is only for those who received their first doses of vaccine at a site operated by the Health District or one of its partners.
The interval to receive the Pfizer vaccine is at least 21 days after the first dose. The district began administering the Pfizer vaccine on Jan. 21, which means the first recipients of a first dose must receive a second dose on Thursday.
The website continues to offer second doses of the Moderna vaccine, which can be given at least 28 days after a first dose.
The website will be accessible Tuesday through Saturday from 8:30 am to 2:00 pm or “based on the capacity of the clinic,” said the health district in a press release on Tuesday. The website is dedicated to providing second doses and does not offer first doses.
The district only accepts walk-ins who received their first doses at these locations or events: the Health District on Decatur Boulevard, the Cashman Center, Western High School, Jerome Mack Middle School, and vaccination events in Las Vegas, North- Las Vegas, Henderson and Touro University.
The grounds of the convention center are in Area C-1 of the facility’s central hall. You can park on Paradise Road on Convention Center Drive.
Appointments for the second dose, if available, can be scheduled at https://covid.southernnevadahealthdistrict.org/vaccine/second-dose/.
If you have any questions or need help making an appointment, you can call the Health District at 702-759-1900. The line is manned Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. during business hours
