Las Vegas is betting that Kawhi Leonard will stick with Spurs and Hammon Bucks get a job

SAN ANTONIO – Las Vegas has spoken and given its opinion on some of the top Spurs topics this off-season.

The first topic is of course the future of Kawhi Leonard.

Despite all the rumors and talks that Leonard will be leaving Spurs this off-season, Bovada’s odds makers still believe Leonard will be in silver and black for the next season.

The last odds, released in late April, were the Spurs as the likely favorites to keep Leonard, followed by the Philadelphia 76ers, LA Clippers and LA Lakers.

The implied probability that Leonard will stay with San Antonio is 61.5 percent, according to an odds converter table.

All three teams have been named as possible trading partners for Leonard if Spurs and their superstar striker fail to reach an agreement or settle their reported differences this summer.

Another interesting bet in Las Vegas is the status of Spurs assistant coach Becky Hammon.

ESPN reported that Hammon would be interviewing for the position of head coach at Milwaukee Bucks.

She is the first woman in history to interview for an NBA position as head coach.

Hammon became the league’s first full-time assistant coach when coach Gregg Popovich hired her in 2014.

Despite an impressive resume, the odds makers still lean towards Hammon without getting the top job from Bucks.

According to the converter diagram, the implicit probability that Hammon won’t get the Bucks job is 83 percent. The odds of winning can change.
