The 2021 NFL draft is complete, and that means teams across the NFL are in the process of putting their entire rosters together.
The Las Vegas Raiders are likely no different than they were before a pivotal fourth season of the second Jon Gruden era.
Because of this, we’re going to be going through the roster ratings for the Raiders players and position groups to see how everyone’s stocks measure up into the summer.
If you continue to look at the Raiders’ broad recipients, one player is really who has nothing else to do but move up from last season Bryan Edwards.
Edwards was the team’s third pick in the 2020 NFL Draft and had an incredibly productive college career.
In four seasons in South Carolina, the former Gamecock took the top five places in SEC history at both receptions and shipyards.
Edwards has a good frame at 6-3 and 212 pounds, and based on his college stats, the Raiders likely thought they were going to get at least one player with a tall story.
Based on last season’s results, Edwards could still have a ton of adjustments to make.
In 12 games and only three starts, Edwards scored only 11 catches for 193 yards and a touchdown.
Injuries played a role in these fights and likely prevented Edwards from ever feeling completely comfortable with Gruden’s offense.
It ended with an unforgettable debut season that Edwards would certainly like to get past as soon as possible.
With renewed health and another season in the Raiders system, Edwards could make a real contribution to Silver and Black in 2021.
