A man was killed in a central Las Vegas valley on Saturday night, Las Vegas police said.
At around 9:25 p.m., a 63-year-old man was crossing Twain Avenue on Palos Verdes Street when he was hit by a witness described as a dark SUV driving east on Twain. The man crossed near a marked zebra crossing, but had no foot signal, the police said.
After meeting the man, the SUV drove away, police said.
The pedestrian was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, where he died. His name is published after his family is informed of his death.
This marks the 15th traffic-related death in the Metropolitan Police Department jurisdiction this year.
