Magic & Project will return to Las Vegas in August with personal shows

Magic and Project will return to Las Vegas in August with in-person shows, Informa confirmed today.

The organizer said that Magic Las Vegas, Project Las Vegas and Sourcing at Magic will take place August 9-11. The shows have not been held in person since February 2020, a month before the coronavirus pandemic in the US.

Informa also added a new event, Destination: Miami by Coterie, shortly after its successful Magic popup event in Orlando last month. The Florida Coterie Show will take place July 10-12 at the Eden Roc Hotel in Miami Beach and is in line with Miami Swim Week. (The New York edition of Coterie is expected to return in September.)

“We serve the diverse needs of the global fashion community through a variety of locations, formats and sizes,” says Kelly Helfman, Commercial President of Informa Markets Fashion. The executive noted that Informa will announce additional events later in the year and that safety is a top priority as the pandemic recovers.

“The consistent implementation of security-related events will also be of the utmost importance in 2021,” said Helfman. “While each event requires its own security measures, the industry can assume that all future planning and organization of our events will be carried out with the highest standards of safety, hygiene and cleanliness.”

In Las Vegas, Informa is planning “new and refreshed show floor experiences” for its segments of shoes, clothing and accessories in the Las Vegas Convention Center. An expanded range of training courses is also in progress.

Sourcing at Magic will follow a hybrid approach in which a digital event will take place in addition to the live show in order to expand the reach internationally.
