Mardi Gras food marches downtown Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – Just in time for Fat Tuesday, a foretaste of New Orleans rolls into downtown Las Vegas.

You don’t have to head south to party with Cajun food, king cake, and pearls as it happens at the Vegas Test Kitchen this weekend during a limited 90-minute fat Tuesday in Fremont.

There won’t be parades or crowds, but an alley in the city center is decorated with carnival colors and an Orleans theme and there are dishes like shrimp butt boys, lobster cake, gumbo, fried okra, cocktails and of course the king cake.

There are four different dinners from Saturday to Tuesday and you can get tickets on this website.
