Motorcyclist dies after dead end street in west Las Vegas

A 26-year-old motorcyclist was killed in an accident in a neighborhood in western Las Vegas on Sunday evening, police said.

Police were called to crash on the 900 block of Desert Oak Court, a residential area near Alta and Durango Drives, at around 5:30 p.m., said Brian Boxler, Lt.

A 26-year-old man riding a Kawasaki ZX-6R motorcycle in 2008 was nearing the impasse when the bike tipped over, police said. The man who was not wearing a helmet was thrown from the motorcycle and hit a power box.

The motorcycle hit an unoccupied Toyota Tacoma in 2002, police said.

The man was taken to the university hospital, where he died. He is identified by the Clark County Coroner Office.

Further information was not immediately available.
