Motorcyclist killed in crash in north Las Vegas

A motorcyclist died Thursday evening after crashing into two SUVs at a red light in north Las Vegas, police said.

According to a statement from the North Las Vegas Police Department, officers were called to a crash on West Craig Road and Martin Luther King Boulevard at 5:52 p.m., where a man in his twenties ran a red light as he drove east on Craig. A Chevrolet SUV turned left from Craig, heading west toward Martin Luther King, heading south and was hit by a motorcycle. The driver then hit a Ford SUV in the Martin Luther King lanes heading north.

The man died on the scene.

Police said both SUV drivers stayed at the scene and investigators don’t believe they were impaired.

The man’s name will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office after his family is notified.

Nearby roads were expected to remain closed for several hours while officials investigated the crash.
