New pool scene in the Venetian Las Vegas

April 29, 2021

(PRESS RELEASE) – A dramatic redesign of the pool deck at the Venetian Las Vegas Resort sets a new standard for luxury and extraordinary experiences in Las Vegas. The redesigned pool deck reflects a two-year project that will provide resort guests with world-class hotel amenities – including the largest cabanas on the Las Vegas Strip – as well as culinary and cocktail destinations. The five-hectare pool terrace on the roof extends over the entire length of the hotel towers The Venetian and The Palazzo and offers sun-seekers around 11 pools and eight spas different experiences.

The newly configured pool deck in the Venetian hotel tower is based on the Italian Riviera and conveys the worldly appearance of a European escape. The pristine waters of the Venetian pools are reminiscent of the charm and irresistible appeal of their Italian influences by the sea. Hidden gems reminiscent of Italian art and architecture give the pools a new sense of place. Several sculptural works of art offer photo moments that are cleverly integrated into the design. The addition of day beds and chaise longues in the pools brings guests even closer to the refreshing waters.

The addition of 10 well-appointed, premium poolside cabanas adds over the top amenities, some with private plunge pools to suit the needs of the resort’s most discerning guests.

The Venetian Resort has a pool for everyone:

  • The Venetian pool deck has four large pools, including three infinity pools. In the center of the pool you will find hundreds of lounge chairs, pool lounge chairs, and several day beds. In addition, the Venetian deck has a splash pad for kids and a quieter spa pool to relax in.
  • The Palazzo Pooldeck offers seven pools to choose from with a new experience around every corner.
  • The Venezia Tower has an intimate and quiet pool garden with partially shaded pool areas throughout the day.

For guests looking to enjoy the ultimate poolside experience, the resort’s collection of 55 cabanas ranges from 180 to 1,450 square feet. They’re an inviting (and air-conditioned) retreat for anyone looking for a curated pool day with a personal cabana host providing ongoing service throughout the afternoon.

Guests looking for exclusive space with plenty of space for up to 20 of their crew can reserve the Venetian cabanas with plunge pools. Here guests can enjoy their own pool with a perfectly located day bed and their own shower. All Venetian cabanas are equipped with essential amenities, including a private toilet, built-in charging stations, a fully stocked refrigerator, refreshing carafes of fruit water, four chaise longues, and a fruit platter when guests arrive. The plunge pool Venetian cabanas are also fully stocked with chilled face towels, an array of vintage games, and two 75-inch HD screens – one in the courtyard and one in the cabana. In addition, the Venetian cabanas (without plunge pools) offer a spacious lounge area and can accommodate up to 15 people.

On the Palazzo Tower Deck, the cabanas can accommodate up to eight people and have air conditioning, four chaise longues, a full refrigerator, a 32-inch screen, fog machines and even a ceiling fan.

In addition to the high-end offerings in the cabanas, a handful of celebration packages can be purchased to really upgrade and customize any occasion. Guests can enjoy each milestone with packages that span birthday to bachelorette themes.

Guests who want to fill their cabana with their favorite spirit and cocktail drinkers can add personalized cart experiences such as a Bloody Mary cart or the Italian cocktail cart, from which guests can choose between classic, Hugo or Limoncello spritzers, Bellinis, or Rossinnis.

The CAPRI Pool Restaurant & Bar is located high up on the Las Vegas Strip on the pool deck of the Palazzo Tower. Operated by 50 Eggs Hospitality Group, the parent company of Yardbird Southern Table & Bar and CHICA restaurants, CAPRI offers an oasis in the heart of the desert with an airy outdoor bar, lounge and casual dining area.

Breakfast menu highlights start with a freshly squeezed juice bar, Baja Breakfast Burrito, and classic buttermilk pancakes, as well as lighter options like avocado toast, acai bowl, and quinoa and egg white omelette sandwich. For lunch, the CAPRI-se salad with heirloom tomato, burrata, matured balsamic vinegar and Maldon sea salt along with a selection of hand-rolled sushi will be delighted. Various artisanal pizzas and sandwiches and much more on the varied menu.

CAPRI is the sister company of Spritz Restaurant & Bar, another new venue that debuted by the pool at The Venetian last summer. Spritz is also open daily for breakfast and lunch during the pool season and features a fresh juice bar, handcrafted cocktails, refreshing slushies and a unique Spritz cocktail menu. You can dine al fresco as well as order at the walk-in window and dine from your pool chair.

Adjacent to the Venetian pool deck is the Truth & Tonic Wellness Café, the first restaurant on the Strip to offer a full menu of plant-based food and drinks. The venue, which is part of the Canyon Ranch Spa + Fitness, offers superfoods, smoothies, fresh juices, coffee, and cocktails.

The poolside cocktail menu has also been reinvented. The drinks were developed by Sam Ross, the famous New York barman behind the resort’s Cocktail Collective.

To freshen up the pool cocktails, Ross used some of the techniques he used in developing the award-winning cocktail programs for The Dorsey, Rosina and Electra Cocktail Club, including using high quality ingredients, seasonal fruits and freshly squeezed juices, and other classic techniques for handcrafted cocktails.

The menu includes shaken classics, slushies and a selection of low-alcohol and non-alcoholic cocktails. The highlights of the menu include the spa day (vodka, coconut water, elderflower, fresh lime and agave), the watermelon cooler (tequila, fresh lime, watermelon, cocchi pink and agave) and the non-alcoholic refresher Reviver # 9 (coconut) water, Ginger, grapefruit, lime and agave).

The resort’s Venetian Clean Commitment includes hundreds of different initiatives launched in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, including several specific cleaning and safety protocols in our swimming pools. Currently, the state of Nevada requires that face coverings or masks be worn in public areas, including the pool deck. Space is limited due to capacity requirements and availability cannot be guaranteed. Sun loungers are available subject to availability. Guests can request current pool availability or join a waiting list when pools are full.
