Almost seven months after Governor Steve Sisolak shut down all non-essential businesses to prevent the spread of COVID-19, Planet Hollywood Resort is returning to the Las Vegas Strip. The resort returns at 10am on Thursday, October 8th. The hotel section is open for weekend stays and the casino is open daily.
With the return of Planet Hollywood, a number of restaurants are making their comeback. Gordon Ramsay Burger, Cafe Hollywood, Strip House, and Mexican Restaurant Yolos return along with Heart Bar and Extra Lounge. Guests can also pick up Chick-Fil-A at the front of the resort, Earl of Sandwich or Starbucks in the lobby.
The Koi sushi restaurant, the spice market buffet, PF Chang’s, Pin-up Pizza and Ringer Wings will remain closed.
The resort is also bringing back Mandara’s William Hill Race & Sports Book and Planet Hollywood Spa. The neighboring Miracle Mile Shops reopened on June 9th.
Parent company Caesars Entertainment says new health and safety protocols include more frequent cleaning and disinfection, a health screening program for all employees on their return to work, and the mandatory use of masks for employees and visitors.
Only Cromwell and Off-Strip Rio will remain closed to the Caesars Entertainment family of resorts in Las Vegas. Sisolak allowed casinos to reopen in Nevada on June 4th.
