SR Construction and the Las Vegas Fertility Center groundbreaking
The future main location of the center will provide fertility treatments to patients from all over the world.
On April 20th, the Las Vegas Fertility Center and Nevada-based general contractor SR Construction officially laid the foundation stone for the brand new Fertility Center in Las Vegas, southern Nevada. Located at the intersection of Hacienda Avenue and Durango Drive, the facility will house a state-of-the-art fertility clinic.
“We are honored to have laid the foundation stone for the new home of the Las Vegas Fertility Center,” said Doctor Bruce Shapiro of the Las Vegas Fertility Center. “Our Sahara clinic was the first infertility practice to open in Las Vegas in 1988. Since then, we have provided unparalleled care to patients around the world. It is exciting to start building our future site and we look forward to helping families grow for many years to come. “
The groundbreaking ceremony began with an opening speech by Jeff Northrup, Senior Vice President of Pre-Construction at SR Construction, who spoke about the project and what it will offer to patients after completion. Other speakers were: Dr. Bruce Shapiro, Dr. Carrie Bedient and Dr. Leah Kaye from the Fertility Center in Las Vegas.
“SR Construction is honored to be the designer on this project,” said Jeff Northrup, senior vice president, SR Construction. “It goes without saying that we look forward to the next phase of the process and building the next home for the Las Vegas Fertility Center in the valley. Once opened, this center will be a welcoming place for patients, offering first class care to everyone who walks through the door. “
The project will consist of building an 18,500 square foot facility and fully developing the site, including installing site utilities and traffic signals, and other off-site improvements. The center, which will be part of a nearly 4.5 hectare industrial park, will house an outpatient surgery center, laboratory and fertility clinic. The construction work is expected to be completed in mid-2022. Other project partners are: PGAL Architects, Lochsa Engineering, John Jones Landscape Architecture, Wright Engineers and MSA Engineers.
