The Bacchanal Buffet, the giant buffet at Caesars Palace, will reopen on Thursday, May 20, with a $ 2.4 million renovation. The buffet, the largest in Las Vegas, closed in March last year when the state ordered non-essential companies to slow the spread of COVID-19. Clark County allowed self-service buffets to reopen on May 1st. Restaurants were allowed to provide 80 percent capacity and three feet of social distance.
The 25,000 square meter bacchanal buffet with 600 seats has redesigned part of the food line and is concentrated in an area of 2,120 square meters. The changes replaced existing food counters, service devices as well as the ceiling and floor coverings. Designer Tetsuo Aoyagi, now of MUKU Design Studio Inc. in Tokyo, was the original designer of the $ 17 million buffet in 2012, which incorporates natural textures and materials like glass and stone to create the feel of ice caves, mountains, and more to convey more.
The buffet also offers nine open, interactive kitchens in which many dishes are already individually prepared, shared or prepared in real time by the employees behind the counters. Now the guests have an even clearer view of what is happening. The Bacchanal Buffet now features open fire grills for preparing prime ribs and other meats, while new steam and cooling display systems keep dishes like crab legs cool.
Also new are 30 dishes such as dim sum-style food trucks running around the dining room with foie gras PB&J, spicy seafood cook bags, Japanese Wagyu hot dogs and traditional dim sum. The composed dishes include grilled baby octopus with turmeric, XO chilli jam, cheeseburger bao, chipotle bourbon barbecue oysters and duck carnitas quesadillas.

The buffet now also offers more vegetarian and vegan options such as quinoa-filled baby sweet potatoes with fried kale, tomato tartare, and coconut carrot gazpacho.
Mediterranean cuisine now has a new mezze bar and serves Roman-style pizza, while Asian cuisine has more Southeast Asian flavors with Lao, Filipino, Indonesian, Thai and Vietnamese specialties.
For dessert, the buffet added Earl Gray mousse, salted caramel popcorn and death by chocolate cupcakes, yuzu tart, ube chiffon cake, and 10+ natural gelato flavors.
Bacchanal continues to serve cold and steamed crab legs and crab cocktails from the brand new seafood kitchen, while the Carving, American and Latin stations offer prime rib, mac and cheese with cartwheel, street tacos and much more.
For the first time, Bacchanal introduces reservations with OpenTable.
