The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department reminds you not to leave children or pets in the car

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) – As the temperature rises, Clark County, along with the Fire Department and the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, want to remind you not to leave children and pets in the car.

Heat stroke is the leading cause of non-vehicle death in children under the age of 15, according to HealthyChildren.org.

The heat in a closed, parked car can quickly rise by 20 degrees in just 10 minutes!
