Following an eater tradition, we asked a group of restaurant journalists, bloggers, and friends of the site to consider the year of eating. Your answers to the annual Year in Eater survey will be published in multiple posts. Initially, the restaurants will share their restaurant stands from 2019.
Rob Kachelriess, writer from Las Vegas, Thrillist:: Black sheep, Esther’s kitchen, other mom, Partage, Vetri Cucina, Basarfleisch, EDO, Spatz + Wolf, Mordeo.
Philip Tzeng, food blogger LasVegasFill:: When there was nothing to eat at home, Meraki Greek Grill was super reliable. Just like with Friends, their signature bowl of veggies, quinoa, egg whites and amazing feta cheese was always there for me. Hainan chicken rice, pork congee with egg of the century, and the best wontons made Nuro Bistro another place that I physically needed several times over the past year.
Scott Roeben, Vital Vegas:: Triple George and Vic & Anthony’s, downtown. Joe’s Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab in the Forum Shops are a proven gem.
Melanie Lee, Eater Vegas Instagram Manager: Jjanga, Kura, Gyu-Kaku, Hattie B and Tim Ho Wan. These are my usual points of contact. Libertine Social and Greene Street Kitchen are also two places I keep recommending to friends and visitors because they are always delicious and fun for groups and special occasions!
Bob Barnes, Las Vegas writer for Gayot, Editor-in-chief and writer for The Las Vegas Food & Beverage Professional and editor and writer for Vegas Beer Quest:: Esther’s Kitchen, Edge Steakhouse, La Cave, Americana, Sparrow + Wolf and Delmonico Steakhouse.
Andy Wang |, Contributor, Food & Wine: Palace Station Oyster Bar and Raku
Krista Diamond, Eater Vegas Contributor: PublicUs, VegeNation, Jammyland and other Mama
Susan Stapleton, editor of Eater vegas:: Getting back to restaurants is difficult with the amount of work and food I have on my plate. I love the mandilli handkerchief egg noodles in Matteo’s Ristorante in the Venetian.
